Emil Chireno has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions with multinational companies and complex business operations in multiple jurisdictions. His practice focuses on advising foreign nationals and companies on how to invest in the Dominican Republic in new business ventures and specially in large construction projects for the tourism industry. He specializes in corporate law, administrative law, tax law, complex litigation and commercial arbitration and advises companies and individuals in manufacturing operations, free zones, construction and real estate development for tourism, residential and commercial projects with multinational business structures in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean. Graduate of the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, Santo Domingo, DR. She is an accredited judicial interpreter in English and German as well as a law Professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. Virginia holds a master’s degree in international law, foreign investment and arbitration at the Max Plack Institute of Comparative Law at Heidelberg University, Germany. She also holds a master’s degree in international relations from Instituto Universitario Ortega-Marañón in Spain.
